Grub bootloader with first sector of disk??

Hi guys,

I kind of having a problem here and i thought that you guys could help me out. I always had Redhat Linux 8 bootloader installed to the MBR so i deceided to install it to the first sector of the hard disk which i believe is this /hda/dev2 and now Redhat won't boot up for me. I did not create a bootloader floppy disk. Do you guys know why Redhat is not booting up for me?? I really don't want to reinstall it again. I just reinstall it a few hours ago. Please reply back. Thanks for any help.

/hda/dev2 ????

r ur hard drives IDE??

i could be wrong but...it shoulda been /dev/hda2...

anyway...the linux cd when booted from gives u the linux-rescue option....along with the install options.

i think, if i recall, it asks to to press F5 or sumtin. any way as u say you do not see this....use any other machine and try making a generic boot disk...see if that helps

let i know
