Grub boot order

I saw how to do this once but I have since reinstalled Linux and lost it. How do I edit Grub so WinXP is the 1st OS (default) and Linux is the second.

Edit the file: /boot/grub/menu.lst

You can either change the order of the entries or simply change the "default 0" entry. "default 0" means the first entry on the list. "default 1" is the 2nd, etc.

But you should really have Linux be the default....

I will change it back once I get a little more comfortable with Linux, as a matter of fact if it weren't for a couple games that absolutely will not run under Linux I would most likely kill Windows completely at that point.I have already installed Firefox and Thunderbird as my windows browser and email programs to make Win and Linux 'feel' the same.
