Grub boot loader failed

Hi
Iím new to Linux. Anyways, Iím trying to install kali Linux but it says grub boot loader failed.

So obviously, I googled it and tried every solution. Did not work.

So any suggestions?

Ps:
1) I tried gparted using live DVD, Efi boot with flag partition
(I tried mounting both dev/sda and sda2 to install boot loader but could not)

2) I tried installing other systems,same problem

3) etc

Any suggestions?

Toss Kali to trash and try Fedora 28 or Ubuntu LTS and tell us exact problem and how you made dvd or usb drive.

I tried fedora too. It says grub boot loader problem.

I tried to clean my system with clamav

Sudo clamscan -r / —remove

And the problem began right after that

are you saying it worked first, you were able to install & boot to a graphical desktop?
then you ran clamscan, and it destroyed your system?

You've indicated that you tried several Linux operating systems and they all failed to boot with a Grub error. Since you make no mention of any other operating system and you were unable to boot, how and why were you running clamscan?

Yes.

Well, I wanted to install Kali Linux, but as you may know, itís bugged. As are some of the VPN available (itís owned by the feds, as in they are the ones hosting it...and yet others are hosted by other intelligence agencies who are even worse...like the mafia)..... The guys at the top can make things happen.

Anyways, since I wanted to be sure I ran clamscan and chkrootkit, etc...

And it said 600 files infected. So I ran it again with the remove line. And Iím fairly new to this.

So it cleaned it but I wasnít sure, so I erased everything and installed another system. But after that could not. It kept going grub boot loader failed. I googled the topic and tried everything for the past 7 days. Finally, I decided to ask the pros.

I canít seem to install anything because of the grub problem

it's a safe bet that that made your system unbootable.

so this is the actual problem here.
we need to collect information on this.
not sure how.
could be a UEFI bootloader problem, but i have zero first-hand experience with those.
are you dual booting with windows? 10 or 7 or 8?

Finally, I decided to ask the pros.
what makes you think we're all pros?
we're normal schmucks just like you.
this means that we all have to pull together to find a solution - esp. you because you're the only one who has physical access to the machine.

you need to do some troubleshooting (please look at some people's signatures to get advice on how to do that), and share the results (the actual results, not your interpretation).
