grub and slackware 10.0

this is my first time using linux.

i wanted to install slackware first but i didnt had a hard time to make linux swap partition

so i insalled red hat to make an automatic partition

then i installed red hat by formating and making partitions using the slackware install cd

hd size is appx. 8 GB and partitions are
1. 100MB fat32
2. 6.5GB linux
3. the rest is linux-swap

then i installed slackware and finished every thing

Qn . when i boot my pc the grup text comes and couldn't load my slackware

Please help me , i am in chaos!

So does that mean Slack is on /dev/hda2? If so, at the grub prompt enter
>root (hd0,1)
>kernel=/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda2
and god bless all who sail in her...
If you're lucky Slack will boot and you'll end up at the command prompt. If you enter init 4 you may even get into Gnome. Good luck. You're going to need it.
