grip is not able to initialize cd device and will not run

New to linux and running Mandrake 9.1. This may soon be obvious to all here!

I tried to change cd device used by grip and now program will not start up. when I run in terminal mode I am told it can't init. said drive... OK I set it wrong and screwed it up. BUT if the prog won't run AT ALL under this user account how can I change it? When run as SU it runs fine but stores in root user folders and I don't find a way to change settings for other accounts as SU.

go into that users home directory and delete
the .grip directory

sorry, just checked, delete the FILE .grip

or edit it, your choice.
