Graphics on linux with x system vs directfb etc
Hi
I am building a simple embedded system. I need to be able to display some 2D graphics on screen. So, basically I want the user to be able to boot the system into console, and then straight away start the graphical program (which I will write). How do I access the frame buffer to write graphics? I want to use X but I don't want the whole windowing system to come up, I just want to use it's library functions... is there a way to do this? I know directfb also does this but I would prefer to use X.. thanks |
