Graphics Card Help OpenSuse 11.2 ATI Radeon IGP 320m

Hi, I've seen a few posts about this but they seem to be old. With the older versions and graphic cards kinda being a gray area its quite confusing. I would like to know how to set up a driver to get 3D support for my graphics card.

Older HP Pavilion/Laptop
ATI Radeon IGP 320m
OpenSuse 11.2

Thank You for any help
Paul

3D should work out-of-the box. What makes you think it isn't already working?

What's the output of 'glxinfo | grep -i render'?

OK, so your GPU is using the open source radeon driver correctly. It is the only driver you can use.

If OpenGL applications aren't working, it's because they are either too powerful for your video card or your video card drivers. I know, for example, that UnrealTournament 2004 will not work with OpenGL on that GPU. It is very possible that the original UnrealTournament won't either. The only possible option you have would be to upgrade your drivers and, for that, I would recommend using a newer distribution.

I think the unreal tournament issue is glide related I just realized.

Thanks for the input
I was thinking of going to opensuse11.3 when I make a change to the dualboot. Think that is new enough to have newer drivers?
