anyway to add a sound file whilst viewing a slide show ?

I'll refrase that, I want gqview to play a sound file preferably an mp3 whilst viewing a slide show any way of doing this ?

I don't think so, since GQview isn't an mp3 player...but you could make a little script which runs GQview and mpg321 at the same time.
