GPG error, no public key
 

Hello,
I'm a new ubuntu 9.04 user and I must say that my experience so far has been divine. Unfortunatly I have come across this problem recently when i tried to install some updates. I have tried looking up some stuff in the internet and I have come across many ideas but i do not know which ones are best. Will appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.

Well, you are fortunate it didn't bite. The part in bold says that the repository is for hardy (= 8.04); mixing releases can result in a broken system.

Neither should this be considered safe as 9.04 is different from debian etch:
Actually, I can't see why you would need either. As long as you have the medibuntu repository, you should have access to pretty much all that is available.

Thank you jay73. In that case is there anything i can do to make the message go away? Each time it appears i'm worried that something might have gone wrong...lol...I don't understand why it keeps trying to install 8.04 upgrades.

System > Admin > Sofware sources and disable or remove those entries.
