Gparted query regarding boot configuration

Hi,
Can Gparted be used to to return the boot configuration of a disk back to its original setting. For example, if a i have a dual boot system with say windows and linux and want to return the boot file/configuration back to booting windows only i can can use Fdisk /MBR (old windows system) or use the file that comes with win XP recovery CD for that purpose. However for systems that dont a have access to a DVD drive, can the same thing be done with Gparted?

Cheers

Not last I looked - gparted is a partitioning tool.
There are things like msys and mbrfix but there are potential (M$oft) licensing issues.

hi,katesfb Gparted is not used for boot configuration. Its a disk partiotioning tool.If u want ur default boot to windows,u can do that manually in linux, in the file /boot/grub/grub.conf or in /etc/grub.conf
