Got Yoper installed now what?

I burned this copy of Yoper a while ago (november) and just got around to installing it. Now its all up and running what do i do? Do i need to update it? And i have been hearing about this thing called APT and that i need to update it? What is APT and how do i update it?

If you want to update it go ahead and update bu that's not really necessary if your Yoper is new version. Learn to use it instead. get comfortable with it.

hmm so what is APT? i heard you can just type in ATP-GET INSTALL *progamname* and it installs it? if so thats awsome! How do i use it? :p

SlackerLX 08-12-2005 04:04 AM

yes, yes, pretty much you got it covered .... ;)
#su
[type root pass]
#apt-get update
#apt-get upgrade (not necessarily)
#apt-get install MPlayer (just an example)
