Good source to read on understanding linux?

Im new and have so many questions, I could be posting in here all day :) To save from annoying anyone too much, I would like to know either a good book on understanding linux, how to do commands, what they mean, installing software, etc.. Or good websites on the subject. Any links are appreciated.
Thanks
Darrin

Pick up O'Reilly's Running Linux 4th Ed. That is a good book that I use occasionally, should do everything you need ;)

You can download lots of stuff off Kazaa. A good book I've read parts of is the Linux Cookbook. It's very good for beginners.

Unix Made Easy by Muster is excellent for a clear grasp of *nix commands and architecture. Cheap too.

http://www.mandrakeusers.org/index.php (The FAQ section on this one is great)
http://mandrakeuser.cjb.net/
http://members.rogers.com/ctmlinux/index.html (this one's about Red Hat but most of it still pertains)

I'm sure there's plenty more but these have helped me so far.

I just bought RUTE USER'S TUTORIAL AND EXPOSITION by Paul
Scheer. Fancypiper has a link to an on-line version in his posts.
Great info.
