If there's a proprietary driver then the latest can usually be had from the manufacturer's website. If not then you should be able to google for the latest packages of the open source project (e.g. Nouveau) for your system -- somebody may have packaged them or there may be a repository for newer software. Or, you could try the project website and see whether you can compile a newer version from source.
With CentOS I may be wrong but I would expect your drivers to be a few versions behind due to it begin a stable enterprise-grade OS rather than a cutting edge desktop one.
If you're a bit more specific about the drivers you want I'm sure that if they're available somebody will be using them and be able to let you know how they did it.
