Good Messenger Program?

Is there a program like Trillian for Linux? I'm looking for something that supports multiple chat applications and is also eyecandy. I've installed ayttm, but its kind of ugly. The only themes I could find were for smilies... Any suggestions?

Does GAIM or Kopete support skin, or themes? Can you make them transparent? Thanks for the advice!

if you search for icq with msn protocoll, then get Licq - it's your trusted ICQ from windoze

I don't know what GTK is... I'll read up tonight. Will Gaim support transparancy?

Gaim is simply awesome.

"Gaim is a modular messaging client capable of using AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, Jabber, ICQ, IRC, SILC, Novell GroupWise, Napster, Zephyr, and Gadu-Gadu all at once. It is written using Gtk+ and is licensed under the GPL."

GTK+ is just the graphic user interface toolkit used to code it...of no importance to a user like you.

I'd agree that GAIM is your best option.
