GnuTLS: how

How to be sure that GnuTLS client fully supports
TLS 1.0/1.1 i.e. in case when server is not known a priori? Only thing i know that server compatible with TLS 1.0/1.1, but which of credentials it used isn't known (e.g. SRP, PSK whatever else)?
