Gnoppix does not work for me :-(
Hi,
I downloaded gnoppix rc2 iso but after burning it does not work...
the files on disc are not what I expected (no vmlinuz)
Does anyone know (or use) gnoppix that could tell me how to get it working
Thanks in Advance

Can't remember off hand but that sounds like a Knoppix remaster. If so, the system is in a compressed file under /KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX.
Now, if you are wanting to do a hard drive install, the distro usually has some kind of script which starts the process.

You do need to select HD install manually (natch) from the CD itself, but if it's not booting into the OS itself, chances are you either grabbed a botched ISO or for some reason it's not a bootable CD.
Can you elaborate on "does not work"? Does it boot? Does it begin to load Knoppix? Crash? Error Message? Something?
I assume you are talking about Knoppix.

How to verify your iso files
How to burn iso files to disk
Also, if the iso file is fine and your burned disk is fine, check that your pc is set to boot from cd and also check that the specs of your pc match or exceed those required by the distro.
