Gnome with awn
 
Iḿ running ubuntu 8.10 with gnome. I have installed and configured the awn bar, but at the next login, the awn bar is not on the desktop. Can anybody help me?

you need to start awn automatically when you login. For this gnome has a small utility. Link is "Sessions" (I think) In System->Preference menu. Just add an entry for your required command and you're good to go.
