GNome task bar configuration

Is there a way to configure GNome desktop in the way the task bar appears in the bottom of the screen with a start button on the left? I remember that I saw some machines running KDE that have this configuration...

I ensure that I try to learn how to do this, but I can't find the way...

Greetings from São Paulo - Brasil

Ricardo

Have a look at the Gnome Shell Extension here:
