gnome startup

errr...i just installed gnome on mepis linux, but when gnome starts up 2 cursors appear on the screen, one that is moveable, the other that is not the second cursor is kinda annoying as it is always on top of other windows....

Try a different window manager. Or updated gnome with yum, apt-get, emerge, or whatever arch linux comes with. And or just update it with the latest gnome. If anything I would suggest looking through your XF86Conf, or xorg.conf file for something that shows 2 mouses at start up. I would do the update for gnome first.

yeah, thanks, updating gnome did the trick, probably just a bug.
