Gnome Splash screen

Hello dudes !
Can anyone tell me please how can i change the gnome spash screen ?
I know this is a lame question..but we all have to start from sth.
I am using Fedora.

How do I change the GNOME splash screen?

If you are using GNOME-2.0.x:
Replace the file /usr/share/pixmaps/splash/gnome-splash.png with your new splash screen.

If you are using GNOME-2.1.x:
You can edit "/apps/gnome-session/options/splash_image" gconf key and change path to your new splash screen.
