gnome remote desktop does not recognize AltGr key combinations
 

I am running gnome 2.8.1 on a Fedora Core 3 system. The vino RPM is version 2.8.1-1. I believe vino is responsible for the gnome remote desktop feature.

On the windows computer I am using to control the linux session I have a Spanish keyboard. No key combinations that require the AltGr key being pressed like '~', '|' , '{' or '\' are getting through.

The 'vnc' module i added to xorg.conf had the same problem. No AltGr key combinations came through correctly.

As a stopgap solution I have enabled the vncserver on :1 and it processes correctly the AltGr key combinations even though it is not as convenient as controlling my main desktop remotely.

Is there any way to configure the gnome remote desktop to correctly interpret AltGr key combinations?

I have the same problem with Suse.

I dont have an answer im sorry but u could use X win instead...
