GNOME randomly dropping icon paths?

I've been doing a lot of theme swapping in GNOME recently, and somehow I've managed to whack out the icons for "Log Out" and "Lock Screen" command buttons so they're now just a little broken image. I can't rightclick on them to fix it, becuase that simply excecutes the command, and doesn't bring me to a settings menu.

I've poked around at finding the file that contains the icon paths, but have been failing miserably. I've swapped the icon themes around, hoping that it'd fix itself, but it hasn't, yet. I've also restarted X and tried rebooting the machine to no effect. I'd much appreciate a prod in the right direction because it's irritating to click on a busted icon image whenever I want to leave my computer.

Thanks a bunch...
