Gnome newsreader
I've started to run Gnome on Redhat 8.0 and need a good newsreader. I tried to download PAN, but was missing some of the dependecies. Does anyone have a recomendation of a good newsreader.

No, about 6 dependecies actually -- the first one I looked for libgtkspell.so.0 appeared to be for Mandrake Linux. I also found a reference where someone using Red Hat couldn't get it to install.
Is this the only newsreader that works under Gnome?

there are quite some news readers for linux.
however, the depencies for most are the
same. i suggest you search for slackware
packages here so that you may satisfy the
dependencies.
good luck.

Thanks Nenee
Thanks for the tip on the Slackware site and Pan. Now that I have newsgroups maybe I can get answers without asking the same question hundreds of others have already answered. This site restores my belief in human kindness. The Open Source community is the greatest asset to Open Source software, people who make the difference.
