Gnome Menus

What is the best way to add new programs to the GNOME Menu for launching? I'd like to be able to add some other programs to my GNOME Menu under gentoo.

Doing some googling, I found the following:

But that menu editor does not show up on my existing main menu under Gentoo. Thoughts for fixing, anyone? Is there a gentoo ebuild I'm missing?
