gnome menu apps --> commands
Hi,
Is there an easy way to get a list of all the commands needed to run the apps in the gnome menu? I want to put them in a fluxbox menu. so I don't have to change back to gnome everytime I'm searching for this of that tool. Thanks Anne |
Hmmm if i remember in gnomes control center or whatever it's called, they have a menu editor, in that menu editor there may be the commands needed to execute each thing....
Hope that made sense hehe #Garry :D |
I had to look it up on the internet via the screenshots of the menu editor but I believe that my suspisions about it have been confirmed. It doesn't give a list of the commands, but it diplays just the command of the selected app.

Ok after some more googling, I believe there does exist a file (called .desktop?) where the menu entries are listed.
Unfortunately though I'm not on my linux box right now so I can't look it up. If anyone here can confirm this finding of the existence of such a file please do so and could you then please throw in the location of it as well? Anne |
