which gnome are you trying to install? gnome-core was from the gnome-1.x series desktop ( current version is 2.8).

If this is what you want, then you will probably need:

nautilus
control-center ( may have been installed for gnome-core )
sawfish (or another window manager )

for a mininmal gnome-1.4 desktop.

the gnome-2.x series is completely different ( in regards to what packages it takes )

Also, which debian are you using ( stable, testing. etc...)?

the videio drivers seems to be working fine, couse when I run the X it shows up the nvidia logo and the beginign of a desktop interface but, it gives me an error saing something like missing /root/Xsession... some thing like this, Iīm at work now so canīt send the full erro message.

should be a matter of:

apt-get update
apt-get install gnome

but I'm not sure which version it will install with that version of debian. Also, If you installed gnome-core, then that will have to be removed ( you can keep the libraries from gnome-1.4, but not gnome-core as it will conflict with the newer gnome installs).

Your best bet would be to head over to the debian specific forum on this board where they can help you with getting apt-get going and let you know what versions of gnome are available for what versions of debian.
