Hello friends,
I have a problem in gnome desktop.

i have started getting a black screen with a X cursor in my centos.

Ok, so you're getting a "black screen" - how about explaining what you did that resulted in this "black screen"? Did you try CTRL+ALT+F2 - to go into the terminal?

Well everything was fine and few days back when i logged into my Gnome i saw this black screen. i have never done any changes to my gnome settings.

and yeah i tried doing that CTRL+ALT+F2 but terminal didnt open. please tell what should i do.
