Gnome based applications?
 

When someone says that thier program is Gnome base does that mean it will only run on Gnome or can I use it elsewhere, like on fluxbox?

If you have the libraries install, you should be good to go. However, be warned that you might lose some degree of functionality at time. For example, you can run KwikDisk in Gnome, but it integrates much better into KDE.
