gnome and kde
 
sum1 help me out . what is gnome and kde .what is the differece between the two. and which is better

Both are Desktop Environments. Large applications fit to work together etc.

Both are pretty good but to sum up, KDE resembles Windows more and is better customizable. Gnome is easier to use.

This is of course my opinion. Test'em both and see which one feels right.
