gnome and apt
hey all.
im running gnome and when i do a "rpm -qa | grep gnome-desktop" to get the version num, it gives me "gnome-desktop-2.0.6-4". and the latest gnome release is 2.2 when i do an upgrade using apt, it doesnt do it as it says it is already the latest version installed. when i goto the gnome.org download site, there are wayyyy too many src packages to download and install. whats the easy way to go about upgrading to gnome 2.2? also, is there a way i can upgrade all packages on the machine im running on which are part of gnome? (maybe there is just one package that installs/upgrades the whole environment?) thanks again! |
