gnome 2.0 icons
 

I know that there's a bunch of post on icons, yet none seem to fix my problem.
I'm running redhat 8, gnome 2.0.6 and I metacity. I'm having the same problems that the other people are having. I go to art.gnome.org and download some of their pretty icons pack. I try everything to get those things to work, but no luck. If anyone has run into this same problem, with the same versions of the software named above and fixed it, help me out. Step by step cause I tried everything else.

It's a bug in that version of gnome, try looking in ~/.themes then copying the directory to ~/.icons or something like that.....

How to k'now what gnome I'm using ?

I had the same problem,, And I still having it currently,, I keep changing the default theme icons by saving them the same name they were in the default theme ...

I hate ,,, So I need help too .

I use redhat 8

under any gnome window, go to help > about.
