Gnome

well in the last 2 days i have gorn through slackware 9.0, redhat 7.3 and now finally mandrake 9.0 (in that order). this is my first time properly using linux and i am a noob so thats why i sucked at slack! but i find red hat and mandrake pretty easy to use! when we install and got the Nvidia drivers to work man were we happy. eny way i have a dual boot so i am still using windows i just find that linux is more screwin around ... eventually things will work and when they do the next time is should be easy!

eny ways enough rambaling on i was wondering how to properly update Gnome on my mandrake 9.0 partition? it used 2.0 i think and i want to use 2.4. i went to the web site and there is like hundreds of packages! should i install them all one after the other?

thanks for eny help

hi

there is tool called urpmi and a graphical frontend for updates. read the mandrake docs. they are the best form of guidance to you.
