Gmail with Konqueror

Hi, im just begin to use linux (mandrake 10.0). My web browser is Konqueror. I cant acces to my gmail account on linux, I need to return on windows each times I want to read my mails. You know why ? Do you know how I can acces to gmail with konqueror on mandrake ? Thanks

Hi Raven,

I am Newbie too, but I am using Mozilla on Linux and I haven't any problem yet.
I suggest use this browser instead Konqueror.

Hmmmm. I have just logged into my gmail account using Konqueror. No problem at all. In the interestes of science, I suggest you try another browser as PinRojas suggests. If you can connect using ----say Firefox----then the problem might be with your Konqueror/KDE setup.

The easy answer... get Firefox...
I noticed the same problem, but this was after moving to Linux after being a Firefox user anyway. Firefox is... put quite simply... better. Easier to use with more features.

Try upgrading Konqueror first, else
You need to goto SETTINGS -> CONFIGURE KONQUEROR
Then click the "Browser Identification" tab
Click "New"
For the site: gmail.com and then for the "use following identification" select one of the newer version of Mozilla or IE.

I had to do this when I was using SLAX for awhile since it didn't have Mozilla or Firefox.

The reason that someone can't open gmail from konqueror is that stupid browser don't support javascript properly. Now gmail people add feature to allow user open gmail from almost any browser that have problem with javascript compatibality.

Now you can open your gmail from almost any browser. I still can't open with links (a text WWW browser)
