I have installed Evolution 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 11.10. I sunced my gmail contact be adding a google address book. All worked fine. Contact were synced.
Next time i came back to Evolution the contact list was suddenly blank and seemed idle or Dead right click options "New contact" and "New contact list" are toned down/passive and when I try to remove the contact book to start over I get the message "Could not delete address book"
I am glad i posted in the newbie forum, cause then it is more ok for me to say that after trying everything i could find and googling around I till don't know how to check the error-logs or how to check the permissions.
Your advice makes good sense though. i just found out that I can't write to my Google calendar that is also synced into Evolution. It shows up and I can read the entries but i cant create new appointments.
