glxgears question

How do you see what your FPS is while running glxgears. I can run the program glxgears but I dont know how to "see" the output.

I think you've already noticed (first time I didn't understand myself): there're printed in console, if you run it from console...

D'oh. Just running glxgears will print out the FPS to console, but you have to wait five seconds. Reading all the crap -info put out made me stare at the console for more than five seconds, so I figured it was necessary.
