Global variable "sensors_proc_chips" is NULL after installing lm-sensor package .


hi All
I have installed the lm-sensors package on my ubuntu machine , i have also checked that "sensord" daemon is running and Output of command
"sensor" is showing output of "tempreture" and speed of FAN but when i am trying to read the global structure variable "sensors_proc_chips" through API "sensors_get_detected_chips()" but getting global structure variable "sensors_proc_chips" as NULL .

Can any one please help here ?

I am using lm_sensors-3.4.0 .
