Glib dir? Error in config for 3.3.2 arts

Whilst compiling a neccessary file for building the newest version of KDE, I come across, of course, an error. However this is no normal error, this is the "Even though you just installed it, I have no idea where it is" error. Things that need compiling find little ways to make me mad, so for input need purposes, here's what is returned (I'll try to put all of what's neccessary):

checking for GLib-2.0 (at least 1.3.3)... not installed
configure: error:
Please install glib-2.0 (see 'gtk.org').
I have removed parts of it for length purposes (the entirety can be posted if requested). Here's what I have tried to do for problem solving. With the urpmi command I've urpmied everything that's possibly named glib (including glib, glib-devels and typing in glib-2.0 and letting it download all of those files under each category) However to no avail, it continues to give me that error message. I was thinking of exporting the glib directory which may work, however I don't know what arts-1.3.2 WANTS as the dir
(I.E.: export GLIBDIR=/home/usr/glib2.6 )
Any help would be appreciated!

I helped someone with a Glib problem a couple days ago. Long story short: their path was not correct. Do a search for "glib-config" (it might actually be "glib2-config" ) and verify that the directory is in your path by executing echo $PATH. If that doesn't fix it, or your PATH is correct, then you'll need to open the configure script and find the section that performs the test to know what arts is expecting. You can use the text the configure spits out to find the relative position in the file to start looking. In this case, searching for "Please install glib-2.0" ought to get you in the right neighborhood.
