give path in bash_profile.??
 
i have downloded ant build.the installation tells us to give path in bash_profile.but i already have path as below.


# User specific environment and startup programs
JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/AT_Dev_Env/Java/jdk1.6.0_16
PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin

export PATH


the new path to be given is

/home/kamath/studyj2ee/ant/apache-ant-1.8.2/bin

how do i give it without error??

export PATH
to this

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/AT_Dev_Env/Java/jdk1.6.0_16
export ANT_HOME="$HOME/studyj2ee/ant/apache-ant-1.8.2"

PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH:$HOME/bin:$ANT_HOME/bin

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin

export PATH

give path in bash_profile.??
 
druuna sir,

1) i am using fedora 16 and have now found out that there is no ant.sh in bin folder but only ant.bat in my ant download.
will i have to download new ant ?or is this one sufficient??.

2)i am not able to find ant download for fedora(which contains ant.sh).so if u know any site which contains ant for fedora please help me.

There is no ant.sh, you need to use ant when running it under Linux (just downloaded it to double check).
