ok i installed gimp with python disabled. it sucusesfully installed or sumthign went wrong. becuase everytime i try to load iit, it dosnt open nothing happens is it beaucse i disabled python

Are you installing GIMP manually, or using the package manager?
What Linux distro are you using?

Things to try:
Run GIMP from a terminal and see what error messages appear.
Install with the package manager.
Try re-installing with Python.

ok im useing sabayon linux mini edition 3.4. i tried using portage package manager it owuldnt installed due to a dependencie being masked entropy and spritiz wont install via portage becuase of the same reason. so package manager right now is out of the question. i installed it via tar ball i needed puthon 2.5.0 i installed 2.52 and then tried ./configure and it still said i needed python 2.5.0. so i disabled it and everything went ok according to the terminal. i just tried running gimp through the terminal it loaded a ok so i guess that just means the shortcuts it made in the system menu have a defect in them.
