Ghosting, Raid, and Flying Insects
Greeings!
Alright... lookin' for some insight here, just for preparation for the future. Here are my issues. 1. Is it possible to ghost a Linux drive and all partitions to another hard drive, and if so, what software would allow me to do such wonderful things? 2. Currently, I am not set up for RAID, but I will most certainly need to be in the future. Assuming I can image a drive as discussed in #1, how would I go about configuring drives for RAID support: a) without losing information or having to reformat/reinstall. b) minimizing downtime in the process (ie - not losing information, or having to reformat or reinstall ;)) Thanks! |
we gave a couple answers here relating to cloning (ghost)..
well depends on the RAID if its software or hardware... software raid howto hardware raid howto some links here may be helpful |
