Unhappy Gforce2 MX 400 can't turn on 3d aceleration


Hi all, I'm from Portugal and...I'm I have linux only since 6 weeks...

I'm a new newbie on linux, I have instaled Suse 9 on my AMD Athlon 1.2Ghz, and all go ok, but when I go to turn 3d on Yast just apear ok, ask to reboot and when everthing looks ok I go to Yast but the 3d it's off, ask to install again and again... need help... sorry for the mistakes but my English is a litle bad...

did you install the nvidia drivers from SuSe update?

I Guess not...

I have made the download from the site of NVIDIA...I'll try to find where is the suse driver...I'll say something if all ok or not...much thanks, I was kind sad with my computer....

Use the SuSE Update tool in Yast.
Tell it to look for all updates and then scroll down to the bottom of the list.
The NVIDIA drivers will be there.

SUSE doesn't like the normal nvidia drivers.

That is another problem.... :(

I guess the real problem is in the board drivers, cause I find that the USB are on, but it apears as wrong ID, I can't connect to the Internet with my speedtouch modem...I'm realy bad in linux...

I Hope that will work...tonight i'll try...I want to leave Windows for good, but with this little time I have is been complicated, and in my town there is no much people working with linux...tanks again..

it does seem complicated at first
but, stick at it
it gets easier

I guess that problem with the NVIDIA is ok...

but the other of the speedtouch still the same...have installed the drivers, speedtouch-vx.xx-tar.gz (something like this..) and the speedtouchmgmt...but still the same...misses the USB drivers I guess...
