So, what have you tried so far? We can't read your mind. Check the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) link at the top of this page to determine what drivers are required.

what I've tryed
lol oh sorry
I don't really know where to start. its odd because I've done the updates and it recognizes that I have a Boadcom B43 wireless driver but it says the the driver has just been disabled but is still in use and i have to try and activate it each time. I have looked at and tried to follow other fourmes but none are spacific to my lap top. I have tried to install bcm43xx-fwcutter and it responds in terminal with Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Couldn't find package bcm43xx-fwcutter any ideas? |
You're going to need an internet connection to download the software from the repository, unless you have some other way to get it. It's going to extremely helpful to have a wired internet connection until you get the wireless sorted out. The wired Ethernet connections generally work without much trouble. Wireless is a different deal.
