Getting USB thumb drives to be auto-mounting


I am using Linux Mint 18.1 with Cinnamon desktop. I am have trouble with getting USB thumb drives to be mounted. I have some that mount when inserted and other that will not mount. Is there a way to get auto-mounting? Thanks for any help.

Open Terminal and use this command:

sudo apt-get install usbmount
