Question Getting to Update Xserver

Hi, I did some search over the forum there seem to be no result for my question.
So I try to post it here, hope anybody can give me some help.
I was trying to get my xine play dvd and did a 'xine-check'.
I found some message which could explain why I was suffering from slow video playback.

Message:

[ good ] found xvinfo: X-Video Extension version 2.2
[ hint ] Your X server doesn't support YV12 overlays.
That means xine will have to to color space transformation and scaling
in software, which is quite CPU intensive. Maybe upgrading your
X server will help here.
If you have an ATI card, you'll find accelerated X servers on

press <enter> to continue...

When I was there at linuxvideo, the site seem to be remove.
What I not sure is that do I need to update the X server (which I don't know what it is) or
XFree86(which I guess is related to video playback)
Can anybody help me here?
Since the site have been remove, where can I download a lastest version?

XFree86 or X11 is the Graphic User Interface (GUI) core. Gnome uses it, KDE uses it, and some others. If you are using a GUI, then you are using X. You can search google for the xfree86 or x11 project. I think it changed recently. From your description, it sounds more like a hardware issue though, and not a software issue where and upgrade would fix it. I could be wrong though.
