Getting started with Linux
 
Hey everyone.

So I just recently installed Linux (ubuntu) on my machine, and I want to learn how it all works. I have tried to google some stuff but I haven't got much. I know ubuntu isn't the best for this, but it's the only one i could install because of other problems at the time.

Anyway can anyone help me get started?

Well, Google has lots of documents on pretty much everything to do with Linux, from source code to programming tips.

It would help if you told us what you needed help WITH, and what problems you were having, and what kind of machine you've got....

Ubuntu is best for an ordinary desktop machine.
For a server, you want something like SLES, RHEL, or CentOS (and I think there is even a server editon of Ubuntu).
