Getting rid of DOS
 
I just reformatted the hdd with the RH9 is and win98. There is now a partition for RH9 and a free space (unformatted). My problem is that in the boot selection screen, there is a DOS under RH9. It was like that before because it's dual booted, but now, even without windows98, there is still a DOS boot. When I choose it, nothing boots up. How can I get rid of it?

Remove the stanza from lilo.conf or grub.conf.

If your using GRUB, you'll have to take the DOS entry out of its config file. Here's the manual:
