Getting an image of linux system

Hi All

I have my system loaded with Windows and Ubuntu Linux.
I would now want to get the total Image of the Linux Part and then use that to load in my Laptop which i wish to use as Linux Only.
I have installed many things on my existing system which has both windows and linux in it.Now I want to move all those from the linux part on to my new Linux only machine.
ie.I want the exact image of my currently running Linux part of my machine transfereed to My Linux Only Machine

Is this possible to do?? If so how?

Thanks In Advance
Charanya

well, you could do it manually I guess

you could use remastersys backup
it will create a installable livecd of your present system

http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page

I love this. It's a live cd with all the tools you'd probably ever need. I use this to restore installs I kill experimenting. Especially fsarchiver on there.
http://www.fsarchiver.org/Main_Page

It supports ext4 as well as restoring to different file systems than the original, the cd has gparted for setting up partitions, etc, etc, etc. I wound up installing it to a small partition which I then use as a kind of system recovery partition.
