Getting a error when I try to install redhat 6.1
I am tring to install redhat 6.1 on a intell celeron 433 with 128 mb of sdram , and 8.5 gig hd .
I keep getting this error messege and I haven't found a way to fix it . so I am asking to see if someone else has had the same problem as I have. The Error It appears your computer has less than 608k of low ("dos") ram. linux needs at least this amount to boot. if you get this message in error , hold down the ctrl key while booting and I will take your word for it. Boot Failed I have tried holding down the ctrl key and I get to the install screen but after I select one of the options ( I have tried all three options ) the computer just freezes up . |
My guess is you need a newer version of Red Hat. It would appear that the one you have doesn't understand SDRAM. MIght not be it be it, but that is where I would start.
