Getting a Dual boot with MS ME?
 

Hi. I have come to like linux for most things, including its reliability, but because of problems with printing and playing games made for windows with winex, I have decided that I need to do a dual boot, on one of my boxs.
The problem is I have Linux partitions on all my hard drives. As you will know Windows can not create its own filesystem. I guess that I will need an emergency fat32 recovery disk. I got one from a friend ounce, but forgot what it was called. Can anyone recommend software that will achieve this result?
I have an Win ME disk and the weird thing is that it does not even seem to be recognized when I boot up. Win 98 se had autoexec.bat, config.sys and the rest of the bootup files.
I do not want to lose programs that I have installed on Linux unless I have to, so if there is a way to repartition Linux then convert the remaining 15Mb into a fat32 partition ready for Windows install.
I know this all may seem a bit defeatest, but I will still be using Linux for the majority of the time, Windows just for printing and playing games.

If you need to reinstall win, just run the install cd. Xp can find its partition and prompt you to install there.

I thought I mentioned that I did not have the fat 32 partition on my drive. I can use windows fdisk to create a partion, but my Linux os would become unusable. So really I just want to know, if there is a way to repartition the drive natively from Linux.

Try Parted. I have no experience of using it or resizing linux partitions, but others swear by it.

Thanks for your help. I have downloaded Parted. Will try and intall it tommorow evening. Have to get up at 8am tommorow to go paintballing. I wish they did painballing at night, anyway.
