get close, minimize, to the left like mac
 
Hi i have seen many screeen shots of peoople who have the Close, Minimize button on the left side of there applications, like a mac. how do they do this?? how can i get mine to move to the left ??
i am on suse 9.3

This is probably done with the theme people are using. I've had them differ between themes for me as well. So you have to search a theme that has it. Or maybe you can set it in the kde control center.

Yes. It's in windows decorations.

I dont think so..im using the same exact theme they are...but im in gnome...how do you change in gnome?

Well there's also a gnome preferences center isn't there? Should have some option in there then too.

I'm guessing, it's the Window Decoration they're using. Since you using Gnome, check out Gnome-look.org. Quite often, you'll see the same deco with several variations, such as the buttons on the left instead of the right. I'm not a Gnome user myself, so I'm not familiar with all the options for Window Decos(Metacity in Gnome?).

I have successfully done this (i.e. placing the widgets, not skinning them) with gnome 1 and sawfish (`crux' theme). I haven't tried w. gnome2 & sawfish--and I can't seem to find the `theme options' w. gnome2/metacity/crux;

So, it *can* be done w. gnome, but I think it's wm specific.
